My name is Rachael Wilmarth and I am in 8^th grade at Barrington Middle School.

I was diagnosed with a rare form of Leukemia in 2018. Thankfully, my parents acted very quickly and got me the best care possible at Hasbro Children’s Hospital.  It was there I learned about The Izzy Foundation.

The Izzy Foundation does so much for the children and families who are affected with a life-threatening illness. Over the past several years our family has done a toy drive during Thanksgiving time because we are forever grateful. I wanted to get involved to make things a little brighter for the children and families who are fighting for their lives. There is Hope, never give up!

I want to be a pediatric oncologist so I can give back and help children going through what I experienced in 2018.

I have been in remission for 6 years!
