Our organization thrives with the help of volunteers and interns in
The Izzy Family Room, our many events and special programs.
The Izzy Family Room: There are many opportunities to volunteer/intern in The Izzy Family Room at Hasbro Children’s Hospital. Areas of need include:
- Cleaning
- Stocking supplies
- Serving meals
- Planning and participating at special events (e.g. holidays, birthday parties, etc.)
- Entertainment
- Classes
Annual Events: We have a number of events each year that provide many opportunities for volunteers including serving on committees and working the event. Events include:
- Golf Tournament
- Gala
- Izzy K (walk/run)
- Izzy IZspirers (student challenge)
- Light of Our Lives (childhood cancer awareness month)
- WinterFest (spirit tasting & casino night)
Special Activities/Programs: Several times a year we have opportunities to work on special activities or programs. Some of these programs in the past have included:
- Bring in gift for parents, patients or families
- Share a talent with us (music or artists)
- Bring in a special visitor (princess or magician, etc.)
