Carla joined The Izzy Foundation as the Executive Director in March of 2022. She has been working in the nonprofit sector for over 10 years after making the move to the nonprofit sector after almost 20 years as a Paralegal. Carla most recently was the Executive Director of the American Heart Association for the Southern New England market. Previous to that, she was the Area Director at the Rhode Island Chapter of the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society where she oversaw the Rhode Island market and also maintained two of their major fundraising campaigns as well as the Director of Development for the Tomorrow Fund. Being able to work and help volunteers as well as the community in this new and engaging way was one of the major reasons for her career change.

Carla’s career has always had a major focus on volunteers and putting their needs first. “Volunteers are what we are all about and who we are constantly striving to help.”

Carla currently resides in Glocester, Rhode Island with her husband Brian, son Jonathan, and their dog Rerun.
