The Izzy Foundation offers academic scholarships to ALL children nationwide with cancer patients (or survivors of childhood cancer) and their siblings. The Izzy Foundation offers scholarships in two categories: (1) K-12 grades and (2) college and higher education.

On average The Izzy Foundation gives out $500 per approved student.  In the last five years we have given out 88 scholarships and over $120,000.

College Applicants must be:

Fill out this application if you are entering college or currently a college student

  • A childhood cancer survivor AND or sibling under the age of 25 (bereaved siblings can apply)
  • Diagnosed before the age of 18 with pediatric cancer
    • Provide a letter verifying cancer diagnosis (of sibling or self)
  • A citizen of the United States living within the country and attending school in the U.S.
  • Be enrolled in or accepted for enrollment in an accredited undergraduate school
  • One letter of recommendation from teacher, mentor or employer
  • 250-500 word essay on academic and career goals along with why you choose The Izzy Foundation
    • You will also have the option to share a video, artwork or other forms of artists expression explaining your academic goals (application will show you how to do this)

 

Elementary/High School Applicants must be:

  • A childhood cancer survivor AND or sibling under the age of 25 (bereaved siblings can apply)
  • Diagnosed before the age of 18 with pediatric cancer
    • Provide a letter verifying cancer diagnosis (of sibling or self)
  • A citizen of the United States living within the country and attending school in the U.S.
  • One letter of recommendation from teacher, mentor, or employer
  • 250-word essay on academic and career goals along with why you choose The Izzy Foundation (written by the student) 
    • Younger children can draw a picture or submit a video telling us about themselves and their family
